Overture Strings

Overture Strings (OVST) – 2012-2013 will meet on Wednesdays at 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.
All auditions include sight-reading. All returning musicians must use a new solo and a more advanced series of scales, and demonstrate progress from the previous year at the audition.
“Honor” members of OVST will rotate into Junior for several selections each concert period and will be accepted into both groups at the discretion of the Lou Kosma, musical director. Tuition will be paid for only OVST.
For “Honor” position, the musician must audition with the following:
- A solo approximately Suzuki Book 4 or up
- A two-octave scale of their choice involving third position
